We arrived in Elblag and met our gracious hostess, Ella. Ella is a history enthusiast and a great tour guide. She always is excited to host Hope Singers! We did a little set-up in the cute church where we would perform that night and then we went for lunch. Ella took us to an old Hotel restaurant that was built like an old Mennonite homestead. A feast was prepared for us and we had fine dining! 

Our concert was well supported, thanks to Ella’s advertising. Afterwards, she led us around Elblang, showing us all the interesting parts of the city. We stood in front of one of the oldest buildings in the city, which was an old Mennonite meeting house, that was one of the first Mennonite buildings in the city! Some pedestrians found out we were a choir and we sang Praise God from Whom all Blessings Flow in front of the Mennonite church. We climbed the old city tower to watch the sun set over the city to end the day. -Jaron Witmer
