Free day in Warsaw! We rode the train into Warsaw and the choir set out to explore the city. Warsaw is a stunning city with old town and the new buildings rising around it. The options of things to do are endless. Lots of coffee was bought. Last minute souvenirs were acquired. Polish pottery is a must have. Towers were climbed. Memorials were observed. And if all else fails, Warsaw has a great shopping mall! That afternoon, most of the choir attended a piano concert in a park. It was high time for us to attend a concert instead of us always being the ones giving the concert. Every one was ready to head back after traipsing around town all day. Needless to say the day wasn’t done. We rode two stops on the train and it broke down. A little more waiting and switching trains and then we were homeward bound.
