Friday
On the third day of rehearsal, everyone is now feeling the toll of the long hours spent perfecting each piece of music. The tiredness rehearsal days bring is evident, but there is also a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction in knowing that we were and are making progress. The music is coming together beautifully, and we can all sense that the hard work is paying off.
To add to the intensity of the day, we had a Polish language critic and coach join us to help with the pronunciation of the lyrics in multiple pieces Of our repertoire. It was challenging trying to master the nuances of a language that is unfamiliar to most of us, but the coach was patient and encouraging, giving us many moments of laughter and great explanations on how to better sound like a “choir of Polish angels”. We thank Marcin for his dedicated work!
By the end of the rehearsal, we had made significant improvements in our pronunciations and diction, and it was rewarding to see the progress we had made in such a short amount of time.
Despite the fatigue and challenges we faced on the third day of rehearsal, it was all worth it when we realized how much we have improved and how much closer we are to being ready for our first concert tomorrow. Rehearsal experiences are stretching, both musically and mentally, but it has pushed us to be more prepared and confident in our abilities as a choir.
We are excited for the official start of our tour tomorrow, and pray God will work through us and bless others.
