Wednesday
With instructions the night before to be warmed up, blood pumping, and minds ready for our first day of rehearsal at 8.00am, most choir members greeted this warm, muggy day before that time, with some warm tea and coffee, plus juices, yogurt, and cereal.
One choir member’s thoughts of today: “Today went well. It was a battle between staying energized and being warm and feeling sleepy.”
Mr. Ivan, our loyal conductor, kept the spirits high and led us with gusto, making the tired feelings from jet lag and the warm room take a backseat in our minds.
Part of our repertoire was practiced (some by memory), sectionals focused on specific areas of need, and a standing/sitting position was made.
We end this day with some outdoor activities, restful and active.
The bonding between members is exciting, as we settle into our choir family for the next 3 weeks.
