September Update

Here’s what happened in September 2015:

  • We are thankful for a good start in this new school year. 109 students have already signed up already for classes at GTE.
  • It is wonderful to have Lavern, Lolita, and family back from their furlough! They had a great time connecting with friends and family in Georgia, Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Ohio.
It is also great to have Jewel back again after being gone for the summer also. She had a happy time seeing lots of friends, family, and her boyfriend.
  • A highlight of Lavern’s family and Jewel’s furlough was attending the wedding of Maria Wadel and Manu Ciocan. Maria served here for many years. The wedding was also brought together many former staff and friends.

Upcoming Events

This Sunday we are planning a baptismal service for two young ladies of one of the families that regularly attends our church. We are excited to see them take this step of faith and obedience to Jesus.

Dervin Martin and Marlin Hostetter are leaving next week with a group of 14 students from GTE for two weeks in the United States. Our students are very excited about seeing some sights with their teachers and living with families in the Lancaster, PA area. They will be visiting New York City, Washington, DC, Philadelphia, and Niagara Falls.

Financial and Material Needs

Over the past few months we have used much of the financial reserve we had at the beginning of the summer. Each month we are spending several thousand dollars more than we receive through donations and English lessons. We ask you to consider contributing to this need.

We project average monthly expenses of $12,750 to support the team in Poland, operate the English school, and translate and distribute the Seed of Truth. Donors may indicate preferences for where their gifts are used (such as staff support, Gateway to English, or Seed of Truth) and AIM will honor preferences where possible. AIM reserves the right to assign all contributions where needed.

If you would like additional information about how funds are used or if you wish to pledge ongoing support, please contact Matthew Mast at homeoffice@aimpoland.org or 814-789-4394.
